Connecta is a safe learning platform where students chat with peers in small groups (Circles) and get help from Socrat, an AI coach trained on curriculum standards. Unlike social media, there are no feeds, no algorithms, and everyone is verified by their school.

Socrat asks questions instead of giving answers. When you're stuck on a problem, Socrat guides your thinking: "What do you think would happen if...?" This helps you solve it yourself and learn better. Socrat never does the work for you.

GoodTalk is a safety system that reads messages before they're sent and flags anything that could hurt someone. If it detects bullying, threats, or unsuitable content, it suggests a better way to say it—without punishing you. For serious safety concerns, it alerts your parent or teacher.

You can post freely, but Connecta has community guidelines: no bullying, no hate speech, no sharing real names or phone numbers outside your verified circle. GoodTalk helps catch unsafe posts before they go out.

Yes. Your messages stay within your verified circle. Teachers don't read your peer chat unless something is flagged by GoodTalk. Parents see notifications about safety alerts, but not the raw conversations. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Yes. Connecta is built specifically for minors under GDPR. It has no ads, no algorithm, no strangers. Every user is verified through their school. GoodTalk monitors all messages for harm in real-time. Serious safety issues are escalated to you immediately.

You'll get notifications if GoodTalk detects anything harmful (bullying, threats, unsuitable sharing). You can also see a summary of Socrat's teaching approach to understand how your child is learning. You won't see individual peer conversations unless there's a safety alert.

We use data only for: (1) showing messages in the circle, (2) Socrat coaching, (3) GoodTalk safety monitoring. We never sell data, use it for commercial training, or share it with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full GDPR rights.

Connecta is designed for ages 6-18 with age-appropriate guardrails. Younger students (6-10) have more supervision; older students (15-18) have more independence—but all groups have GoodTalk safety monitoring.

Yes, anytime. Contact us at [email protected] or go to your school's admin portal. All data is deleted within 30 days (except safety logs, kept for 2 years per duty of care).

Create a task in Connecta, select your class or circle, choose the format (multiple choice, essay, experiment) and difficulty level, then send. Students see it immediately, and Socrat begins coaching them through it. You can see their thinking process as it develops.

Yes. You can start with just your class. Invite students by email or school code—no IT infrastructure needed. If your school wants to scale later, we have easy onboarding for rosters and more classes.

Socrat supports any subject: writing, reasoning, language learning, discussion tasks, and more. Anytime students need to think (not just recall), Socrat guides them. It's trained on curriculum frameworks across all subjects.

GoodTalk monitors peer conversations for bullying, harassment, and unsafe content. Serious cases are escalated to you—giving you visibility into problems before they spiral. You spend less time managing behavior and more time teaching.

No. Connecta shows thinking and growth, but we never assign grades or create permanent student profiles. It's a learning tool, not an assessment system. You control how (if at all) to use Connecta insights in your grading.

You can export task submissions and student work for your own records, but not peer conversations or raw Socrat interactions. Students own their work. See our Terms of Service for data ownership details.
